The Problem.

  • Exploitation is defined as the unfair advantage one might take against someone else by using another person's vulnerability to enhance one’s own benefit or gain.

  • Human trafficking is the buying and selling of individuals to engage in some form of labor or commercial sex act through the use of force, fraud, or coercion.

  • Labor trafficking is the exploitation of individuals required to provide labor or services through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the financial benefit of another.

  • Sex trafficking is a form of sexual exploitation commonly known as “pimping”. Similar to other types of trafficking, it occurs when force, fraud, or coercion are present and require a person to commit a commercial sex act.

    Examples of Commercial Sex Acts:

    • Pornography

    • Stripping

    • Prostitution

  • *Disclaimer - While we understand that human trafficking involves both labor and sex trafficking, the vast majority of cases we work on within our area are those primarily involving sex trafficking. That is why we focus on sex trafficking in our content here.

People who pay for any form of sex are the only reason that sex trafficking exists. Read that again! People who pay for ANY form of sex are the ONLY reason that sex trafficking exists.

This is not hyperbole to invoke an emotional response. This is a fact!

No business, criminal or legitimate, continues to sell a product or service that no one pays for anymore. Just ask Blockbuster Video or Polaroid.

Human Trafficking is a 150 Dollar Billion Industry.

You would have to add together every dollar of profit made in 2020 from these six companies to reach $150 Billion.

    • Apple ($55,000,000,000)

    • Facebook ($18,000,000,000)

    • Walmart ($14,800,000,000)

    • Comcast NBCUniversal ($13,057,000,000)

    • Visa ($12,080,000,000), Amazon ($11,588,000,000)

    • Walt Disney($11,054,000,000)

Billions of dollars equate to MILLIONS of buyers.

We believe that the Demand for sex will not end without a CULTURE CHANGE - and we are committed to bringing that to fruition.

  • 87% of the victim-survivors we’ve worked with report being homeless.

Individuals experiencing homelessness are more likely to be manipulated and introduced to “survival sex” in attempt to fulfill physiological needs.

Survivors attempting to leave a life of trafficking are more likely to return to their trafficker if safe housing and access to food are unavailable.

There are more victims of sex trafficking, then there are beds available for victims in our state of Illinois.
